commentary: The church has a number of wall paintings:-
Christ in Majesty - Christ supported by angels, fitted over the chancel arch, perhaps painted about 1025.
Sabbath Breakers - Christ in a loin cloth with crowned a nimbus, showing his five wounds, surrounded by tradesmen's tools, 15th century.
Saint George and the Dragon - a knight in shining armour on horseback transfixing the dragon through its head with his lance, overlooked by the king and queen at Silene.
St Nicholas - the patron saint of children, seated, crowned with a nimbus, carrying book and staff.
Bell - a wheel hung church bell, painted over the tower arch, early 18th century.
